Flying private into Montréal: getting from the FBO to the city

Private flights into Montréal-Trudeau use the FBOs on the avenue Ryan side of the airport, such as Signature and Skyservice, not the main terminal, so the terminal's taxi and limousine doors don't apply. Montréal Metropolitan Airport (formerly Saint-Hubert), 15 km from downtown, has its own FBOs. Arrange the car with the FBO and the chauffeur before wheels-up.

• Montréal-Trudeau (YUL) FBOs: Signature Aviation (9025 avenue Ryan, Dorval, open 24/7 with customs assistance), Skyservice Business Aviation (9785 avenue Ryan, Dorval), Innotech-Execaire / Shell Aerocentre and Aviation Etcetera. Signature · Skyservice

Making the handoff smooth

• Give the chauffeur company the tail number, the FBO name and the estimated arrival time.
• Ask the FBO about ramp access rules: some allow the car to the aircraft, others meet you in the lounge.
• If you clear customs at the FBO, add that time to the plan.
• For the return, the car follows the same FBO, not the terminal.
