Flying Porter from MET: routes, the terminal and getting there

Since June 15, 2026, Porter Airlines flies from Montréal Metropolitan Airport (MET, the former Saint-Hubert airport, code YHU) in Longueuil, to Toronto and cities across Canada on Dash 8-400 and Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. MET handles domestic flights only, so there are no customs lines. It is 15 km from downtown, about 30 minutes by car.

Where Porter flies from MET

• Toronto (Billy Bishop and Pearson), Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Winnipeg, St. John's, Charlottetown, Moncton and Hamilton were announced at launch, with Toronto Billy Bishop the busiest. Open Jaw

• Pascan Aviation also flies from MET to Québec, Eastern Canada and the Maritimes, and sells connections with Porter. CBC

Getting to the terminal

• Address: 6400 route de l'Aéroport, Longueuil. MET
• By car: about 30 minutes from downtown over the Jacques-Cartier or Champlain bridge; 10 to 15 minutes from Longueuil, Brossard or Boucherville.
• By transit: a METbus shuttle with the RTL to the Longueuil metro station is announced every 35 minutes; check its status before relying on it.
• Private car: door to departures with luggage, and the chauffeur tracks your return flight. MET car service

When MET beats YUL

• You live or stay on the South Shore, or downtown east of Saint-Laurent.
• Your flight is domestic: no customs, a smaller terminal, shorter walks.
• You fly Porter to Toronto Billy Bishop, which lands next to downtown Toronto.
• Comparing both airports: YUL or MET.
